You've received one email from Nuffnang Malaysia.
I clicked on it and it popped out in my mailbox: Do you have what it takes to be the World’s Coolest Intern?
In within a few seconds, the first thing that came across in my mind was, World's Coolest Intern?!! O.o?!!
At the moment, hundreds of question marks surrounding me causing me to think in a while. Chop for one second, all these time, I have heard of:
- World's Coolest Gadgets
- World's Coolest Cars
- World's Coolest Speaker
- World's Coolest Design
- World's Coolest Company
- World's Coolest Dad
- World's Coolest BFF and now...
- WORLD'S COOLEST INTERN?!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!! At least I have heard of "The Greatest Employee of The Year" or "The Greatest Team of The Year" but heck, who will appreciate interns who do not have any experiences in any working fields at all?!
Seniors throwing piles of workloads to interns without any guidance, somehow, in the end of the day, interns will sometimes being the office scapegoat.
Sigh. What can we do? Interns are always seen as a cheap laborer who are meant to be blown up by supervisor. Some even worst where interns do not get paid (this is not the main problem) but they did not gained any experiences at all. Bear in mind, what is the purpose of internship?
No point for a workplace to hire interns if they do not have the intention to provide a framework towards their career development nor assist them in gaining their exposure to the "real-life" experiences.
I have always been a very big fans of Donald Trump and was fascinated by the ideas of The Apprentice Intern Contest and The PR Apprentice. Then once again, I day-dreamed that I could be one of the participants who are prepared for the tough challenges. Amazing! But hey! WAKE ME UP! SLAP ME TILL I AM AWAKE!! *slap slap slap*
Im in the dreamland, as if I could be in the reality Apprentice show. Please stop dreaming and I have to be seriously in thinking about my future. Its time for me to get a job and bring in breads for my family.
Thanks to Nuffnang and Standard Chartered which are now a joint-partner and brought in WORLD'S COOLEST NEWS-EVAR to people like me. "Soon-to-be" graduand.
Yes, Im a "soon-to-be" a graduand *yay* who is majoring in Public Relations and currently rushing to complete my FYP, hopefully to finish it by end of the coming month so that I can grad by this year and attend my convo next year.
Realizing Standard Chartered Bank is hunting for the World's Coolest Intern to join the Breeze mobile banking team in Singapore, it utterly shocked me in a while when I read the word "mobile". Not like I am a mobile geek or a mobile fetish, but the particular mobile word somehow related to my thesis topic. And I was like... O.O! What a coincidence!
Emphasizing that I am a PR undergraduates, why am I conducting a research on mobile advertising towards consumer behaviors? That is so marketing communication/ advertising topic. But I have my own reason.
I was supposingly chosen a social network site topic but it had already chosen by the others. So, I have no choice but to pick my alternative interests to conduct a research.

Girls & Technology. No longer men conquer the IT world. =P
I constantly be in touch with the latest trends and teenage culture in the marketplace and have strong interest in and understanding the technology that powers emerging media. Because I am so passionate to technology and social media networks, I am always the one who in-charged of the Internet thingy in among my group members when it comes to assignment/ ideas.
No kidding and lying, I'll print screen some of my previous work (media planning for our client) and upload it here.
Below are parts of my Internet presentation slides where I recommended to use Internet; websites, social networks, banner ads and weblogs as a medium to promote my group's selected product. While Nuffnang earned a free publicity from me where I proposed the idea to use Nuffnang website as one of the tool too. *winks*

All of the above clearly proved that I am an Internet lover who are enthusiastic about social networking; Facebooking and tweeting every single of my life and uploaded it into Internet. You must think that Im crazy, but Im not. This is today's world. Internet makes everyone's life wonderful and beautiful.
My lappie does not have a Tweetdeck, but I have the awesome Chromed Bird extension.
What so cool about Chromed Bird? Instead of me checking frequently in Tweetdeck, Im not afraid to missed out any of the new tweets because Chromed Bird extension situated just on the top, right hand side of the browser together along with foursquare while facebook which I bookmarked it is on the left. Makes my life much more easier!
Damn. It makes me sound more like an Internet freak but it seems more like an addict when I bought myself an iphone4 recently. Yikesss!
Minutes before I sleep and wake up, first thing that I do everyday is to grab my phone, check out the time and next, greeting from Twitter & FB "good morning & good night" to my networks. Suppose I modify the nursery song?
Bangun pagi, gosok gigi, cuci muka, pakai baju. Pause. It should be the other way round.
Bangun pagi, log in Twitter, tegur sapa, update tweets~ LOL!
yay!
With all the cool Apple apps, thanks to Steve Jobs who invented such a great invention, I can now stay in touch with all my friends in every minutes and seconds, expanding my social ring each day, connecting to more and more people, and keep myself updated to current news and events.

Together with my PR knowledge and skills..

I can fully utilize my communication, organizational and PR skills that I have learned in college and in a PR company that developed my social communication skills when it comes to social interaction especially dealing with media and clients.
During my trainee days, I was exposed to variety of huge events (just to mention a few) such as Launching of TonTon by Alt Media (a subsidiary media in Media Prima) and also BRANDS' awarding Elite Achiever with the involvement of three celebrities in Malaysia (Rynn Lin-singer, Chan Fong-988 DJ and Iko In-Founder of Creative Home magazine) and emcee, Soo Wincci-Miss Astro International 2006 & Miss World 2008.
While Standard Chartered earned its recognition globally..
A workplace diversity is the best for people like me to enhance my social ring and to meet more people from all around the world. Despite being beneficial to the organization, importantly, it can lead to many challenges which benefits me as well! :)
