Day 4: Breakfast, Shopping & Visited Bing Sutt/ Starbucks @Central then to Tsim Sha Tsui for Avenue of Stars & 1881 Heritage

Still blogging on my HK makan post after half a year. :(( Shame on me. Blame on me. Do not have the time to blog. Sigh. Sometimes I really wish I do have some time for myself tho. Perhaps my new year resolution is not to work too hard and enjoy life? Yay! That should be the way! Why stress yourself with work and work and WORK??!! Ok. SET!  :D

My itinerary for my day 4
Day 4: Breakfast @Central; Tsim Chai Kee & Tai Cheong, Shopping in H&M @Tsim Sha Tsui, Bing Sutt/ Starbucks@Central and 1881 Heritage @Tsim Sha Tsui

Had this famous wanton noodle at Tsim Chai Kee located at Central.

One thing that I really love about HK is their quick service and efficiency. We were seated with two other strangers (HK's culture to share table) and noodles were served after 5 minutes in taking order.

Really big shrimp wanton and its damn.. good and crunchy! Very FRESH!

It's well-known

Located at 98 Wellington Street. CentralHong KongChina

Next stop is to Tai Cheong Bakery againnnnn! The egg tarts are seriously damn good, the best tarts I ever had in my life. Back to the same bakery and hello egg tarts and sugar coated donuts (new found love)!

I'm already missing the wonderful soft rich centre nestled in crispy pastry. I want my egg tarts in TC Bakery! :(

Some history of the bakery: Customers of Tai Cheong Bakery always knew its Egg Tarts were delicious, but when HK's last Governor Chris Patten called them the best egg tarts in the world, the 50-year old shop suddenly became famous and the bakery then invited Mr Patten for a visit. News of the best egg tarts in the world by Chris Patten then made it into the international press.

Crispy crust with smooth egg filling

Sugar coated donut- my new love in the bakery

It is a deep fried, egg-rich, dough balls. The outside is crispy and sugar-coated with a soft inside. Love it! Worth the try.

Very GOOD!

Just down the street, thought of getting some milk tea at Lan Fong Yuen, Central; another 50 year-old shop which is supposedly the birthplace of silk stocking milk tea in HK. But too bad, I went there twice but it was closed.. :(

Next trip was definitely my shopping trip in my new found favourite shop. H&M!!!!!!! Woooots. Went H&M two days in a row. First in Tsim Sha Tsui and now, Central which I think the store is much more spacious, neater, tidier and BETTER!

Grabbed things like A LOT in two days in a row, IN A SAME SHOP but in different locations. Blargh! Shopping in HK is really cheap and awesome. Heaven! Paradise! Cant go back with empty hands and cant stop shopping. Pffffftttt!

Heard that H&M is opening soon in Malaysia. Cant wait to visit the store and hoping that the price is affordable like those prices in HK! ;P

More spacious H&M in Central than the one in Tsim Tsa Shui..

3 storey building! Spent almost 1-2 hours in that store itself. ><

Queen's Road Central

Another must-visit place in HK. Something different from Malaysia.

The Bing Sutt (World's Oldest Starbucks) in Central.

冰室, pronounced as Bing Sutt has long been remembered as a place where people meet. Literally, it means “ice room”. Though so, it is actually the coffeehouse of the olden days, where people like to have a coffee break, tea and other beverages such as soda pop & ice cream. This unique Starbucks a fusion of styles and cultures, in terms of Eastern traditions and Western modernization.

It's hard to believe that the first Starbucks launched in Hong Kong was only in 2000. Now, there are more than 110 stores crammed in this tiny town. The latest store on Duddell Street is a world first as Starbucks have collaborated with Douglas Young's GOD to create a concept coffee space within the new store.

A 'Bing Sutt' was what you'd find in Hong Kong instead of the many coffee shops you find now, back in the 1950's through to the 1970's. It was a place where people went to feel connected to each other and the community. Coffee, tea and iced beverages or trendy Western treats such as soda pop and ice cream were served. The bing sutt was a fusion of Eastern traditions and Western modernization.

In celebration of Hong Kong's unique roots and history, the Bing Sutt concept promises to inspire creativity and highlights the richness of HK local culture.

It is located at  Shop M2, Mezzanine Floor, Baskerville House, 13 Duddell Street, Central.

A simpler direction from me: Just follow the Peak Tram sign in Central, walk straight til you see Gucci and Long Champ shops, the Bing Sutt is just located at Duddell Street, same row with the Long Champ shop and Duddell Street is just situated right beside Long Champ.

I went on Sunday and saw lots of maids actually hanging out together at everywhere! They took the MTR and busses, sitting down together at the street side, picnic and chat. Til then, only I learnt that Sunday is an off day for the maids in HK.

Let's have a look at the Bing Sutt + Starbucks. :)

Wanted to have a seat at the bing-sutt corner but full house.

The very old-school coffee shop.

And with the combination of the very modern "coffee shop". :)

You see Gucci and Long Champ shops, you'll see Duddell Street.

Our next stop: Avenue of stars in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Just thought of walking and relaxing though we've been there in the last two years but it was at night. Fair enough, I visited avenue of stars in the evening and it was sunny and windy that I need to covered up my skirt with both of my hands just in case the wind blows up my skirt like Marilyn Monroe style! Haha!

You can view my previous Harbour View/ Avenue of Stars at night here

An eagle I saw!

Jacky Cheung has a pair of fat palms! Haha.

If I live in HK, I would love to yamcha at this place. Relaxing enough. :)

Our next stop: Randomly walked into a restaurant for our tea-time.

Spotted Tsui Wah restaurant like everywhere in HK?

So-so for me..

So-so for me tooooo.

Had a walk all the way to 1881 Heritage at Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Really wanted to visit this place and see how beautiful it is that time. :)

Originally headquarters of the HK Marine Police from 1880's to 1996, it is now a higher end place where branded stores, restaurants, hotel and an exhibition hall located.

Direction: Take MTR Tsim Sha Tsui station exit E, walk towards Salisbury Road, turn right, take subway (pedestrian tunnel) next to YMCA to 1881 Heritage.

Long queue at Cartier?! Wowwww...

1881 Heritage. Beautiful. :)

Went into the exhibition hall to look for the loo. :D

Wedding decor in 1881 Heritage. So beautifulllll~~!!

Really nice and modern carriage

And the camwhore session begins! Cant leave without camwhoring at sucha beautiful place!

Poserrr me!
